(Yicai Global) Dec. 16 -- China's mainland stock markets closed without a united direction in the morning session amid weak investment sentiments.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,373.16, up 0.18 percent, becoming the only equity benchmark that ended higher. The Star 50 Index, which follows tech stocks on Shanghai’s Nasdaq-style Star Market, fell by 1.29 percent to 1,3445.60.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.08 percent to 13,751.92. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, slid 0.27 percent to 2,751.37.
