(Yicai) Dec. 8 -- A record 380 projects worth more than CNY1 trillion (USD140 billion) were signed during the Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference, which was held today and attracted multinationals such as UK petrochemical titan Shell and US coffee chain Starbucks.

Major projects agreed and displayed at the meeting included Shell's New Energy Business Operation Center, Starbucks China's Innovation and Technology Center, China Rare Earth Group's Innovation Headquarters, Contemporary Amperex Technology's Heavy Truck Qiji Battery Swap Global Headquarters, and Fosun International's Greater Bay Area Headquarters, according to data released by the Shenzhen government.

The intended investment amount per project was not disclosed.

The conference, hosted by the Shenzhen government, attracted more than 1,000 visitors from the United States, Japan, the European Union, and other countries and regions during its fifth edition.

From 2019 to 2022, the meeting saw more than 900 projects negotiated and signed, with an intended investment amount of over CNY3 trillion.
