(Yicai Global) Sept. 22 -- More than 1,500 investment projects worth USD80.4 billion were inked during the Xiamen International Fair for Investment and Trade held in Fujian, southeast China, Sept. 18-21. About 100,00 businessmen, more than 40 multinational corporations and over 4,000 Chinese and foreign companies from 107 countries and regions attended the fair, fjsen.com reported.

The exhibition hall covered an area of 120,000 square meters, consisting of 15 professional exhibition areas with 5,000 standard booths. Nearly 2,000 institutions and enterprises exhibited their products and projects.

As for the signed projects, the amount of foreign investment was USD35.2 billion; the investment in foreign countries was USD9.13 billion, and the amount of regional cooperation was USD36.47 billion. There were also 358 guests from 35 countries and regions who have delivered speeches at more than 70 bulletin board system (BBS).

A BRICS cooperation hall and ASEAN hall were also set up at the fair. More than 20 countries and regions along the Belt and Road attended the fair, which include India and Pakistan. The organizing committee revealed that next fair will be held Sept. 8-11, 2018.
