Robots, 5G Self-Driving Patrol Cars Go On Show at Light of Internet Expo(Yicai Global) Nov. 24 -- A total of 130 companies and organizations are showcasing new products and technologies, including unmanned patrol vehicles, robotic dogs, and logistics robots, at The Light of Internet Expo that is being held concurrently with the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen in China’s eastern Zhejiang province.

China Electronics Technology Group’s No. 21 Research Institute and Swiss firm Anybotics jointly developed this robot, which has lidar, cameras, and infrared sensor on its body. It has non-planar movement and can be used in industrial, agricultural and service industries.

Alibaba Group Holding exhibited its logistics robot Xiaomanlv, which was put into use during the Double 11 shopping festival this year. It mainly serves the last 3 kilometers of the logistics process and provides customers with express delivery services.

China’s State Grid put on show a robot that can identify the position of leads and grab them to complete stripping, threading and ignition work. The robot uses 3D environment reconstruction, visual recognition, and motion control technologies, which can effectively eliminate the personnel safety risks of traditional manual electric work.

These robots can perform a concert by recognizing the conductor’s gestures. They were developed by ZTE and mainly rely on high-speed backhaul broadband network services of fifth-generation wireless networks. Their high-definition cameras capture the actions of the conductor and transmit them back to the Multi-access Edge Computing cloud server. The system processes images and sound effects by deploying the AI intelligent recognition system and the music playback system on the MEC cloud server.

This patrol car has an automatic driving function and can automatically patrol the route that is set on its map.
