(Yicai Global) June 20 -- Shanghai reported one more imported novel coronavirus case yesterday, taking the eastern metropolis' total confirmed Covid-19 cases to 698, the city's health commission said this morning.

The new addition is a Chinese citizen who had been studying in Canada and traveled back to Shanghai on June 14, according to the commission.

All the close contacts who had been on the same filght with the patient had been placed under quarantine, according to the commission.

The commission logged no new confirmed domestically transmitted cases yesterday. It also reported no asymptomatic cases under observation in the city the same day.

Among the confirmed 357 imported Covid-19 cases, 23 patients are being treated and 334 have been discharged upon recovery, the commission said.

Of the 341 local cases, seven have died and 334 patients have fully recovered and been released from hospital, the commission said.
