Shanghai Expects World AI Conference to Debut Over 50 Major Achievements Shanghai Expects World AI Conference to Debut Over 50 Major Achievements

(Yicai Global) June 22 -- The World Artificial Intelligence Conference set to run in Shanghai from July 9 to 11 is expected to unveil over 50 heavyweight achievements, including the first launches of innovative products and contracts for more than 30 large projects, which will be signed during the meeting, according to the city government.

The WAIC 2020 will be held in the eastern metropolis via a combination of online and offline methods amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Shanghai officials said at a press conference today.

Over 550 guests will deliver speeches during the gathering, including Manuel Blum, Judea Pearl and five other winners of the A.M. Turing Award -- deemed the world’s highest technical prize -- many more than last year, the government added.
