(Yicai Global) April 16 -- Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, which closed after an earlier 10-day reopening, will finally admit guests again, but only to its outdoor spaces during the Covid-19 control period to prevent infection and foster a safe environment.

The ocean-themed park will throw its gates wide tomorrow from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and gradually unlock other areas based on the coronavirus control requirements and the actual situation, and its Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park Theme Resort Hotel will also resume operations, the resort located in the far southeast of the eastern Chinese megacity’s Pudong New Area announced yesterday.

Visitors can access the resort twice with one ticket this year, it stated, noting a single ticketholder who visits before June 30 can do so once more between July 1 and Dec. 31.

The park suspended business on Jan. 24 because of the coronavirus outbreak. It announced the resumption of its business from March 20 on March 17, but then its re-closure from March 30 in accordance with new Covid-19 control rules on March 29.

The park is a well-known tourist spot that began operating in November 2018. It covers about 30 hectares.
