(Yicai Global) Jan. 29 -- Shanghai's Hongqiao Railway Station, part of one of China's busiest transportation hubs which includes Hongqiao International Airport and the city's subway system, is implementing regular and thorough sterilization of its premises in order to prevent the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus amongst travelers.

Five hours of disinfection has been carried out each night since Jan. 22 using 50 kilograms of hydrogen peroxide by teams of workers wearing hazmat suits.

Sanitary workers in hazmat suits disinfect the waiting hall of Hongqiao Station on Jan. 27.

A worker sprays disinfectant on the luggage X-ray scanners at the entrance to the railway station.

The seats in the waiting hall are sanitized.

All travelers on the subway from Hongqiao Station to the center of Shanghai wear masks.
