(Yicai Global) Nov. 3 -- The Shanghai Integrated Circuit Design Industrial Park in Zhangjiang opened in 2018 and covers an area of around 4 square kilometers. Seven of the world’s top 10 chip designers based their regional headquarters and research and development centers in Zhangjiang.

The park aims to push the scale of its design industry to reach CNY100 billion (USD13.8 billion) and drive the entire IC industry in Pudong New Area, a special economic one of Shanghai, to quadruple to CNY400 billion and raise its share in the city’s IC industry to 80 percent of the total by 2025.
