(Yicai Global) Feb. 27 -- Shanghai health authorities are urgently seeking anybody who came into close contact with a confirmed patient of the Covid-19 coronavirus who traveled through the city between Feb. 20 and Feb. 22.

The patient, who was confirmed to have the virus in Zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, arrived at Pudong International Airport on Feb. 20 after departing from Iran and laying over in Moscow, according to Zhongwei health authorities.

The Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention is in contact with customs and transport departments to try and find people who may have been in close contact with the patient and is arranging for places the patient visited to be disinfected.

After arriving in Shanghai, the patient stayed at a local hotel and left for Shanghai Railway Station on Feb. 22 using Didi Chuxing's ride-hailing service. The patient then boarded the 6:36 p.m. train to Lanzhou, Gansu province, and arrived at 5:20 p.m. on Feb. 23. The next morning he continued his rail journey to Zhongwei, Ningxia.

The Shanghai Health Commission confirmed a new case of the Covid-19 yesterday, bringing the local tally to 337. 

The patient, a local from Jinshan district, had traveled to Hubei province to visit relatives on Jan. 17 and returned to Shanghai on Jan. 26. He went to hospital on Feb. 25, the commission said.

Among all Shanghai patients so far, three have died, 12 are in critical condition, 272 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 50 are in stable condition. 

The city had cleared 2,285 suspected cases as of yesterday and another 74 are undergoing further tests.
