(Yicai Global) Oct. 22 -- The Shanghai branch of China's Communist Youth League has named two of the country's biggest up-and-coming movie stars to serve as youth ambassadors for next month's China International Import Expo in the eastern city.

Popular young actors Jackson Yee and Guan Xiaotong will help to bring the inaugural expo closer to younger audiences, state-backed Chinese news outlet The Paper reported. CIIE will take place from Nov. 4 through Nov. 10.

The CYL has appointed 11 social promotional officers for the event people including one well-known personality from WeChat-based media as part of efforts to broaden awareness of CIIE among younger generations.
