(Yicai Global) Nov. 12 -- Shanghai's Star Market was leading the way while the mainland's stock markets finished the morning session mixed after declining yesterday whereas technology shares rose in the US last night.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed down 0.2 percent to 3,335.42 by the noon break. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.4 percent to 13,775.09.

The Star 50 Index, which tracks tech stocks listed on the Nasdaq-style Star Market, edged up 1.43 percent to 1,415.42. Shenzhen's ChiNext Price Index rose 0.64 percent to 2,698.71.
