(Yicai Global) Aug. 18 -- Jinan Shengquan Group Share-Holding Co. [NEEQ:830881], a diversified company mainly engaged in the production of biomass materials, will partner with industrial chain organizations to set up a national industry alliance for the application and development of graphene-modified fiber, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in a press briefing on Aug. 17.

The alliance will focus on the functional fabrics supply chain and integrate the sector's key organizations through a joint cooperation platform, reported Chinese financial newspaper STCN, citing the MIIT.

The coalition will boost the development of innovative graphene-modified fiber, expand the application of graphene materials, and strengthen upstream and downstream cooperation to remove bottlenecks that restrict widespread use of the material.

Shandong-based Shengquan Group is a private company that specializes in research and development of new materials. The firm has built a 200-ton-a-year graphene material production line and a 2,000-ton-a-year graphene functional polymer production line.
