(Yicai Global) Jan. 29 -- Shenzhen Esun Display Co., a leading Chinese display service provider, will partner a domestic textiles institution to use its 3D digital technology in apparel.
The firm penned a deal with the National and Local Engineering Laboratory for Advanced Textile Processing and Clean Production on Jan. 26, under which the pair will research 3D technology applications in textiles and apparel, the company said in a statement yesterday.
The two parties plan to research and develop 3D virtual displays, water-washable fabrics and 3D digital tailoring. The cooperation will help Esun apply its technology in textiles and make the firm more competitive, it said.
Esun's current product range includes 3D scanners for the human body, antiques, desktops and facial recognition. It is researching digital applications in education and e-commerce according to its website.
The laboratory is headquartered in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province. It is devoted to developing critical, practical technologies in the textile industry, the statement said.
