(Yicai Global) Nov. 2 -- Shanghai Youcheng Investment Management Partnership (Limited Partnership) invested USD10 million in Cube Enterprise Management Co.'s music education group Maide Magic in its pre-A round of financing. The Hangzhou-based firm will use the funds to optimize its products, teaching, and research and development, Jingmeiti reported yesterday.

Maide Magic is an institute focusing on music and art education. It teaches children aged 4 to 12, offering professional jazz drum, guitar, piano and Chinese zither classes.    

The business' product mix combines technology and education through a smart teaching system, themed classrooms and a smart partner training system.

A smart music education company's R&D capability and business model decide its long-term development, said Maide Magic founder Zhai Maide. Artificial intelligence will help boost children's learning efficiency, Zhai said. The traditional business model and traditional smart brands live on "tuition" and "software license fees," respectively, while smart teaching brands should pay more attention to facilitate business model innovation and transformation, said Zhai.
