(Yicai Global) Nov. 20 -- It costs up to CNY7,080 (USD1,010) to replace the screen of Huawei Technologies latest folding smartphone, the Mate X, a price the company posted today on its Vmall online sales platform shows.
This is about 40 percent of the phone's CNY16,999 sticker price.
It is the highest-priced part of the handset, with another notable outlay being CNY3,579 to replace the main board.
The Shenzhen-based company started selling its first foldable phone on Nov. 15. It sold out the same day. Scalpers thereafter marked up the price more than fourfold, Beijing News reported.
