(Yicai Global) July 9 -- Shenzhen-based tech giant Tencent Holdings has offered 34.2 million new shares to 23,271 employees, nearly 42 percent of its staff.
The total value of the offering is HKD12 billion (USD1.5 billion), the firm said today.
This offering is part of an equity incentive project of 71.9 million shares initiated in 2013, equal to 0.76 percent of the firm's current stock.
Shares in Tencent dipped 0.4 percent to HKD350 (USD44.82) at 2.05 p.m. to make it the priciest share on the Hong Kong board.
