(Yicai Global) Jan. 17 -- China's Tencent Holdings, the world's largest gaming firm, is planning a pilot program to prevent minors from becoming addicted to four of its games, including the Chinese mobile version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds called Game for Peace.
The system includes real name identification and limits the time and money minors can spend on the games, the Shenzhen-based firm said in a statement today, without disclosing further details.
Tencent wants to meet new requirements set by Chinese regulators in November as they look to prevent minors from unhealthy use of the Internet, the company added.
