Tianpeng Power Wins 150 Million Lithium Battery Order From Tool Maker Tianpeng Power Wins 150 Million Lithium Battery Order From Tool Maker

(Yicai Global) April 4 -- Major Chinese lithium ion battery supplier Jiangsu Tianpeng Power has landed an order for 150 million lithium batteries from an electrical tool maker.

Tianpeng and Jiangsu Dayi M&E Tools penned an agreement yesterday under which the latter will buy 150 million cylindrical ternary lithium batteries of various types from 2019 to 2021, Tianpeng's parent Jiangsu Aucksun announced yesterday.

The announcement disclosed neither further technical details nor the deal's financial details, however.

Haimen, Jiangsu-based Dayi, which researches, develops, designs and produces professional power tools, wields a big hammer in China's electrical tool market. The transaction will help Tianpeng expand its production capacity, per the announcement.

Headquartered in Zhangjiagang near the Yangtze River estuary, also in China's eastern Jiangsu province, Tianpeng mainly makes cylindrical ternary lithium batteries.

It has also begun to provide its lithium-ion batteries in bulk to domestic electric vehicle makers.
