(Yicai Global) Aug. 4 -- Typhoon Hagupit, the fourth typhoon to hit China this year, made landfall in eastern Zhejiang province early this morning and could further affect Shanghai, as well as the eastern provinces of Jiangsu and Fujian, according to the National Meteorological Center.

Hotel guests could observe how the storm shook the trees outside in Zhejiang province's city of Lecheng in the morning.

Some trees had fallen in Lecheng due to the heavy winds.

Train schedules at Hangzhou East Railway Station showed that routes that go through Shenzhen, Xiamen, Wenzhou, and Fuzhou had been suspended.

A boat rental on West Lake, a famous tourist spot in Hangzhou, was closed yesterday in anticipation of the storm.

Many fishing boats had come to Zhejiang province's Zhoushan to take shelter yesterday before the typhoon hit the shores.
