(Yicai Global) June 7 -- Universal Studios’ theme park in China’s capital will reopen to visitors on June 15 under stringent Covid-19 measures, after being closed for one and a half months.

Universal Beijing Resort, Universal CityWalk Beijing, Universal Studios Grand Hotel, the Nuo Resort Hotel, and all the theme park’s indoor scenic spots and entertainments will restart with a capacity of 75 percent, it announced on its official WeChat account today.

The theme park closed on May 1 to comply with the requirements of Covid-19 prevention and control measures in Beijing and ensure the health and safety of both guests and staff.

Visitors will need to present negative results for Covid-19 nucleic acid tests taken within 72 hours before entering the resort. Staff will also check visitors’ health codes and identity cards, and take their temperatures on arrival.

Ticket pre-sales will resume on June 11, the theme park said, noting that Universal Studios Grand Hotel and Nuo Resort Hotel will accept guests from June 14.

Universal Beijing Resort is Universal Studios’ third theme park in Asia and its fifth worldwide. It opened to the public last September. As of Feb. 6, the resort had welcomed more than 2.1 million visitors.
