(Yicai Global) July 22 -- Saleen Automotive, a super sports car manufacturer headquartered in Corona, California, will build a highly intelligent world-class super sports vehicle production base with an annual capacity of 220,000 units in Rugao in China's eastern Jiangsu province.

The project seeks to develop a new super sports car, Xinhua Daily reported today.

Total investment will be CNY17.8 billion (USD258 million). The facility's annual production capacity will rise to more than 400,000 units after completion.
