(Yicai Global) Feb. 24 -- Tencent Holdings' WeChat Pay Hong Kong has secured approval to start Hong Kong-Macau cross-border mobile services, enabling Hong Kong users to pay in Macau and promote its use among Macau residents when traveling or working in Hong Kong, Sina Finance reported.

Tencent Financial Technology rolled out WeChat Pay HK's cross-border payment function at the end of 2018 and will update it and expand its coverage to include Macau.
