Zuzuche Launches First Self-Drive License for Chinese Visitors to Russia World Cup Zuzuche Launches First Self-Drive License for Chinese Visitors to Russia World Cup

(Yicai Global) May 23 -- Zuzuche, China's largest outbound online car rental platform, has rolled out the first official license for self-driving visitors to next month's FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The platform, operated by Lizhi Network Technology Ltd., has begun offering the Russian-translated notarized certificate which is legal throughout Russia, the Guangzhou-based firm said in a statement.

Chinese citizens holding the document as well as the original copy of their Chinese driving licenses will be entitled to drive during their visit to the sporting event.

Founded in 2011, Zuzuche.com specializes in overseas car rental services, making up more than three-quarters of China's car rentals abroad. Its business covers over 6,000 cities of 200 countries and regions, and it also provides tickets for scenic spots and free Chinese-language navigation.

Chinese citizens are unable to apply for international driving licenses as the country has not signed up to the United Nations' Convention on Road Traffic. In order to drive overseas, residents from the country have to apply for a translated notarized copy for their Chinese driving licenses which can be a complicated procedure. To make the situation more straightforward, Zuzuche rolled out its translated certificate for international driving licenses in 2015, which can all be done online.

Zuzuche's translated certificate for the international driving license was only applicable to some car dealers in Russia, while the newly released document expands coverage to all of the country.
