China Tourism Group Duty Free's first-half net profit rose 19% to CNY3.1 billion (USD447 million) from a year earlier, driven by a duty-free sales surge in Hainan after the implementation of island-wide special customs operations, according the latest financial report released by the Chinese retailer of tax-free goods. Revenue dropped 2% to CNY27.6 billion (USD4.1 billion).
