25.2 million people in China have received childcare subsidies so far this year, the National Health Commission said today, after receiving 27.5 million applications and approving 27.13 million. CNY99.9 billion (USD14.8 billion) has been allocated to childcare subsidies so far this year, with the total for 2026 expected to be around CNY110 billion, the Ministry of Finance said on June 2.
