China’s renewable energy consumption is expected to reach 1.8 billion tons of standard coal equivalent by 2030, according to a five-year plan jointly released by the National Energy Administration and the NDRC. The country’s total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation will likely reach 3.5 billion kilowatts by then, with an annual power generation of 6 trillion kWh.
