Box office revenue from China’s large and medium-sized performances totaled CNY17.4 billion (USD2.6 billion) last year, up 6.4% from the previous year, according to an industry report released yesterday, Xinhua reported. 198,700 performances were staged, drawing over 87.9 million viewers, up 5% and 3%, respectively.
