WuXi AppTec's shares [SHA: 603259] fell 3.4% as of 9.35 a.m. today despite the Chinese contract drugmaker saying its net profit surged 137% to CNY8.3 billion (USD1.2 billion) and its revenue rose 38% to CNY16.6 billion (USD2.5 billion) in the third quarter from a year earlier.
