(Yicai Global) July 19 -- A subsidiary of Beijing eGOVA Co. [SHE:300075]) will use smart technology to help Fuzhou, capital of the southeastern province of Fujian, maintain its underground sewage pipeline networks.

Beijing eGOVA's holding subsidiary Baoding Jindi Underground Pipeline Detection Engineering Co. has won the bid for the sewage pipeline network inspection project for Fuzhou's Sicheng district, the company said yesterday.

The CNY24.4 million (USD3.55 million) project will last 11 months. Baoding Jindi will conduct a detailed check of Fuzhou's sewage pipeline networks to look for their structural and functional weaknesses to provide reference for future clearing and repair work, Beijing eGOVA said.

Aside from cleansing sludge from the pipelines, Baoding Jindi will also provide detailed basic data on the city's sewage facilities, Beijing eGOVA remarked, adding that the project will exert a big impact on its efforts to expand business in the field of flood prevention and sewage treatment.

By leveraging technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, robotics and Big Data, Baoding Jindi is very competitive in helping cities deal with flooding, water conservation and water pollution, the announcement said.
