China's Electronic Toll Collection Equipment Maker's Stocks Soar in Afternoon

(Yicai Global) July 5 -- The stocks related to the manufacturers of electronic toll collection systems went through the roof in afternoon trading.

Beijing Wanji Technology [SHE:300552], Shenzhen Genvict Technologies [SHE:002869], Beijing eGOVA [SHE:300075] and Shanghai Huaming Intelligent Terminal Equipment [SHE:300462] soared to the daily 10 percent limit up bourse rules impose and stopped trading.

China's National Development and Reform Commission released a document to accelerate the implementation of Highway Non-Stop Electronic Toll Collection services. By the end of 2019, ETC users will exceed 180 million in China. ETC Usage should cover 90 percent of highway lanes, and over 80 percent of vehicles will have ETC equipment installed.

Of China's current 250 million vehicles, 81 million have installed ETC, Hua Chuang Securities research report shows.
