(Yicai Global) Oct. 30 -- The 16th China Public Security Expo that opened in Shenzhen in Southeast China's Guangdong province has attracted over 1,100 manufacturers from more than 53 countries and regions.

Covering an area of 110,000 square meters, the China Public Security Expo sprawls over nine major exhibition halls and 6,000 standard booths, with over 50 World's Top 500 enterprises set to attend, including Japanese electronics giant Sony Corp. [TYO:6758] and Chinese communications equipment manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co., chinanews.com reported on Oct.29.

Many security enterprises have introduced security products using AI and this has enabled security systems to change from passive defense to active warning using Big Data, cloud computing, Internet of Things which allows the achievement of visualization, networking and intelligent management in public security.

More than 300,000 professional visitors from over 150 countries and regions will attend the Expo, and groups from over 40 countries and regions will be present and conduct procurement. A public security forum will also be held during the exhibition, as will award ceremonies.

The global electronic security market has maintained an average annual growth rate of 8 percent in the last two years and its output value this year is expected to touch USD320 billion and China's corresponding security industry output value is expected to reach USD100 billion, per statistics.
