(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- Apple is on the lookout for three new full-time engineers in China to help with the further development of the tech giant's smart assistant Siri and has held recruitment events at various colleges across the country.

The US firm is also looking to fill 22 internship positions in the country related to maps, localization, battery analysis and MacBook product design and iOS, Beijing News reported.

The full-time Siri-related positions are quality assurance engineer, server-side software engineer and natural language processing research scientist.

The average annual salary for a Siri natural language processing research scientist in the US is between USD128,000 and USD178,000, according to job site Glassdoor, while those of software and QA engineers are between USD118,000 and USD186,000, and between USD76,000 and USD100,000, respectively.
