(Yicai Global) Nov. 29 -- Beijing's taxation authority said that it will team up with internet giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. [NYSE:BABA] and employ the company's cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to create a smart taxation system, 21jingji reported.

After signing an agreement, the Beijing State Administration of Taxation and Alibaba will build a taxation data platform, and the former will use ET, Alibaba Cloud's intelligent customer service representative, to offer online consultancy and business processing services for tax payers.

The two parties will establish an intelligence tax paying management and research center, and work on taxation risk management and the administration of enterprises' tax-paying credits.

The Beijing taxation authority cooperated with Alibaba Cloud in 2015. They released an online tax-paying service platform at that time, covering more than 200 services related to taxation and making it easier for taxpayers to handle relevant matters.
