(Yicai Global) June 30 -- Beijing's major express delivery companies have tested all of their staffs in nine days and found zero Covid-19 infections, according to China's public service broadcaster.
By June 27, the firms had tested more than 104,800 employees, CCTV News reported today, citing the State Post Bureau.
Local post offices and courier companies started the process on June 19 to rule out infections amid a new wave of cases starting from a wholesale food market earlier this month.
Beijing's municipal postal administration will further urge logistics companies to strengthen anti-epidemic measures, an official told the same news source.
The State Post Bureau said that it will encourage firms to adopt smart boxes, strengthen disinfection at logistics facilities, and instruct couriers to wear face masks to ensure employees' and clients' safety.
