(Yicai Global) Aug. 7 -- Beijing will complete over 10,000 base stations for fifth-generation wireless communications by the end of this year, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said today.

China Tower, the state-owned telecom infrastructure provider, had constructed 7,863 5G stations in the capital by the end of last month, among which 6,324 have been put into operation by telecom carriers, according to the ministry.
