(Yicai Global) July 17 -- Chinese large cities' property prices moved up slower in June while price hikes widened in smaller cities, based on month-to-month comparison, according to official data.

New home prices in China's four largest cities, namely Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, rose 0.6 percent from May, the National Bureau Statistics said today. That was a 0.1 percentage point smaller increase from a month earlier.

In the four cities, secondhand home prices climbed 1 percent in June from a month ago, and the related growth was slowing by 0.1 percentage point when compared to April and May.

Among 31 second-tier cities, new home prices widened by 0.9 percent in June while price growth increased by 0.3 percentage point. Secondhand housing got 0.5 percent more expensive and prices expanded 0.1 percentage point more than between the two months of April and May.

Some 35 third-tier cities proved to be following similar trends as second-tier ones.

In annual comparison, pricing in China's four biggest cities was moving up faster than that in smaller ones.
