(Yicai Global) Jan. 19 -- Beijing Easymonitor Technology Co. (BET), a brain science research and application firm, recently obtained tens of millions of yuan in its Pre-A Series funding. Proceeds will mainly go to clinical trials and research of robotic anesthesia, as well as perianesthesia brain state research, Internet media 36kr reported.

This round of financing was led by Jianxiu Capital Co., a Shenzhen-based branch of Capital Wings.

BET is an innovative company that specializes in clinical medical science, including brain function monitoring, brain status testers, robotic anesthesiologists, and construction of mobile diagnosis and treatment platforms. Its core team members have researched and found clinical applications for neuroscience and the study of biomedical signal processing algorithms for many years.

BET's businesses are its medical and general segments. The company will have a greater future market for its general business, believes BET founder Wu Yibing.

BET uses electroencephalogram algorithms and technologies to develop a series of products for the treatment of sleep disorders and senile dementia, as well as in the security monitoring, education and human resources management, Wu said.

The company's revenue includes earnings from the sales of equipment and consumables and service fees. Consumable sales can become sustainable cash flow business, in Wu's view.

Once new standards for diagnosis and treatment are established for BET's human brain monitors, this will erect barriers against its competition, thinks Capital Wings, the lead investor in this round of financing. The company will also embark on fast-track development if its robotic anesthesia products obtain a medical registration certificate this year as planned.
