(Yicai Global) Jan. 17 -- China's mainland stock markets opened higher this morning while brokerages rebounded from yesterday's retreats.
The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.24 percent higher to 3,081.46. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 11,001.68, up 0.31 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, rose 0.28 percent to 1,935.30.
China's securities sector started 0.47 percent up and quickly surpassed 1 percent, led by ChinaLin Securities which jumped by the daily limit of 10 percent to CNY15.21 (USD2.21).
