China's Aisino to Make New Company Registry System for HK China's Aisino to Make New Company Registry System for HK

(Yicai Global) Nov. 7 -- Chinese software firm Aisino will supply the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with an upgraded company registration system in a deal worth over HKD600 million (USD76.6 million).

Aisino won a tender for the Companies Registry's project which involves a 10-year operation and maintenance contract, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement yesterday. The new system must be ready for use within 46 months after the contract is signed.

The current information management system has been used for over a decade, and it can no longer meet the growing demand from new companies, the statement added. Aisino will use artificial intelligence and big data to upgrade the existing software while adding mobile services.

The HKSAR government will pay Aisino about HKD341 million (USD43.5 million) in phases during the 55-month project implementation period, after which Aisino will give a one-year warranty for free. The government will also pay Aisino HKD31 million (USD4 million) each year for maintenance in the remaining nine years of service life.
