(Yicai Global) Feb. 12 -- China's mainland stock markets edged up by midday while growth equities led the markets as the ChiNext Price Index reached the highest since December 2016.
The ChiNext Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, rose 2.05 percent to 2,070.04. The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.21 percent to 2,907.79. The Shenzhen Component Index inched 0.87 percent up to 10,862.40.
