(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- Airbnb has unveiled the design of its first Chinese 'only On Airbnb' traveling experience inside Sichuan province's Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which organizes one of the world's few breeding programs dedicated to keeping the vulnerable species alive.

The 500-square meter 'Ai Niu'er's Home', named after a giant panda that the firm "adopted" last November, will take the shape of a panda chilling on the ground, the San Francisco-based home-sharing firm said in a statement yesterday, without disclosing the amount of investment. The proceeds will be donated in full to the research base.

Airbnb is diversifying its business from housing to increasingly luxurious travel experiences. It has offered Only on Airbnb packages for short stays in Hampshire's Highclere Castle, a filming location of the popular TV series Downton Abbey, as well as the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse and the Goodyear Blimp.

Last November, Airbnb reached a ten-year partnership with the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to promote awareness of the rare species and help take care of the animals.
