(Yicai Global) Aug. 31 -- The first China International Import Expo will set up a snack bar with a tracked supply chain, serving products from Xinghualou Mooncake, dairy shop Guangming Niunaipeng, Lao Sheng Chang Dumpling and Yang's Fried Dumplings, in order to introduce local products to trade show visitors.
Operational plans for ensuring catering and food supply in the first CIIE have been made, state-backed The Paper reported Wu Xingbao, deputy director of the expo's leading group for urban security, as saying. Some 26 food outlets were chosen to participate, as came out during a promotional conference held by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce yesterday.
Dining options for visitors include halal meals catered by Yershari restaurant from the western region of Xinjiang and Godly's vegetarian dishes, as well as Chinese delicacies offered by Yu Garden Restaurant, noodle spot Hongruixing, and Dafugui canteen which serves specialties mainly from the eastern province of Anhui. The CIIE will also launch a tracking system to ensure the safety of the produce.
China International Import Expo will be held from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
