China International Supply Chain Expo to Attract Fifth More Exhibitors This Year(Yicai) Oct. 30 -- The second China International Supply Chain Expo is set to grow by 20 percent this year, welcoming more than 600 domestic and international exhibitors.
Half of the overseas exhibitors, accounting for 32 percent of the total, will be companies from Europe and the United States, according to Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
US companies will head the international contingent at the CISCE, which will be held in Beijing from Nov. 26 to 30, followed closely by European and Japanese participants, marking a significant increase from last year.
“This reflects the sustained confidence of foreign investors in the Chinese market, reaffirming China’s role as a key partner in global supply chain collaboration,” Zhang said.
He noted that the CCPIT recently surveyed more than 400 foreign enterprises, and found that almost 65 percent acknowledged the strong support of national policies on foreign investment, while 67 percent acknowledged effective policy support from local governments. These companies expressed a clear sense of China’s commitment to further high-level opening-up.
This year’s expo theme of Connecting the World for a Shared Future aims to integrate developing nations and emerging economies more deeply into the global supply chain, said Yu Yi, director of the CCPIT's general office. The event provides a platform for enterprises of all sizes to foster cross-border collaboration and sustainable growth, Yu added.
“The expo is not a traditional trade fair for products,” Zhang pointed out. “It focuses on showcasing ecosystems, supply chain links, and collaborative scenarios, fostering long-term cooperation across the supply chain, rather than merely facilitating short-term transactions.”
Next month’s event will see a higher level of international participation, greater specialization, and stricter green standards. Delegates from over 100 countries and international organizations are expected, including representatives from more than 30 national and regional associations and business delegations from global corporations in Japan, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere.
More than 50 overseas chambers of commerce and renowned businesses have already confirmed their participation, underscoring the expo's growing influence as a global platform for supply chain collaboration and innovation.
