(Yicai Global) Nov. 26 -- China's Labor Day public holiday in May next year will be five days long once again, following this year’s extension from the usual period of three days, to give the tourism sector a boost.

Online travel agency Qunar reported a 15-fold leap in the number of searches for flights for the first week of May the moment the announcement was made by the government yesterday. The price of flights from Beijing to the holiday destination of Sanya in the southern island province of Hainan are already full price and there are no more discounts available, it said.
