Chinese Auto Parts Maker LinControl Unveils Sensata Tie-Up (Yicai Global) Oct. 18 -- LinControl Automotive Electronics, a Chinese producer of automotive parts, has joined hands with US sensor maker Sensata Technologies to ensure product supply and enhance its product quality and brand influence.
Under the agreement, LinControl will prioritize Sensata’s sensors in its new electric vehicle parts, the Wuhan-based company said in a statement yesterday. For its part, Sensata will recommend the Chinese firm’s control systems to carmakers and will support LinControl's product prices amid rivalry between the engine control systems maker and multinational firms.
Massachusetts-based Sensata is a world leader in sensor design and manufacturing with a good reputation among automakers, while the Chinese firm’s products are equipped with various kinds of sensors, LinControl said.
LinControl’s shares [SHA: 688667] fell 1.4 percent to CNY110.26 (USD17.15) today. Chinese mainland stocks dropped after the country’s third-quarter economic growth rate was slower than expected.
