(Yicai Global) July 15 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland swung back into gains this morning as investors swelled with confidence following the release of first half economic data.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.76 percent at 2,952.85 going into the lunch break, while the Shenzhen Component Index finished 1.44 percent higher at 9,345.91. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, fared best as it closed up 2.32 percent at 1,553.287. All three indexes had lost more than 1 percent in early trading.
China's gross domestic product grew 6.3 percent annually to nearly CNY45.1 trillion (USD6.6 trillion) in the first half, the National Bureau of Statistics said today.
