(Yicai Global) Dec. 29 -- China's commerce ministry has initiated an anti-dumping investigation of butyl alcohol from the US, Malaysia and Taiwan, it announced.
The Ministry of Commerce received a joint request for anti-dumping investigations from three subsidiaries of Chinese state-owned oil leviathan China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) on Nov. 8. After preliminary examination, it has decided to initiate a formal investigation, the ministry said today.
The target period for this anti-dumping investigation is July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, and that for the industrial injury investigation is from Jan. 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017.
Butyl alcohol is a key chemical material and an excellent organic solvent widely used in coatings, adhesives and textile dyes.
