(Yicai Global) Dec. 24 -- China's pork imports reached 230,000 tons last month, growing 151.2 percent, or becoming 2.5 times larger, as African swine fever continued to weigh on domestic hog supplies.
Imports of all meat products rose 82 percent to 644,000 tons during the same period, the General Administration of Customs revealed today. The total over the first 11 months was up 42 percent at 5.5 million tons.
