(Yicai Global) Oct. 10 -- Construction of the Prince Edward Station and a tunnel along the stage six extension of Singapore's subway loop will be carried out by a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Railway Group Ltd. [SHA:601390] in the city-state, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore said in a statement yesterday.

The Chinese firm netted a total contract value of SGD311 million (USD229 million), thanks to also winning the civil engineering contract for the project, worth CNY310.8 million (USD47.2 million).

The subsidiary has already built several trunk rail and expressways across China and is also undertaking city trail and public structure projects.
